Buy from a small trader near a border (good example is the LUOHU shopping center at the LUOHU border crossing between Shenzhen and Hong Kong), and there’s a very high chance that they’ll be selling you an item that will NEVER work, based on the premise that you’re travelling and won’t be within arguing distance anytime soon. BEWARE the demonstration, the mp3 mp4 player will be demo’d in a simplistic way or even unseeingly swapped afterwards for the “dud”

How do you know which is Quality componentry and which is not?

• Of course, you don’t until your player fails (right after you left positive feedback on ebay ! )
• So don’t buy from small traders unless you’re willing to take the risk of having to trash the player
• If you buy from a reliable source (whether ebay or a website) who supply well-presented information, backed up by online file resources, help sections, online contact facilities, then this is one of your best indications that you’re buying a good player
